Silver Spring House Fire

Yesterday at 1446 Hrs mutual aid companies were dispatched to Silver Spring Township (31-04 box) for a garage fire. While companies began responding, County quickly upgraded to a 1st alarm house fire. Chief 29 was first arriving with a well involved garage fire already extended into the house with an exposure on the bravo side. E33 was first arriving engine laying in and pulling a 2 1/2” for primary fire attack. The fire got upgraded quickly to a 2nd alarm. Crews were able to get the fire under control around 30 minutes. Companies were out for a little over 2 hours. Thankfully all residents were out of the home. A big thank you goes out to our transfer companies for covering the borough while we were out. Company 29 had 16 members for the call.
