12-30-2025 1607 hours Mechanicsburg Volunteer Firefighters finish the year with a Residential Structure Fire. The Mechanicsburg Fire Department was dispatched to the 12-05 box for a residential structure fire. Squad 29 made the response as part of the working fire dispatch. Squad 29 arrived and was assigned to the roof for vertical ventilation. Later, Squad 29’s crew helped our mutual aid partners pick up hose before going available after 1 1/2 hours on scene.

Mechanicsburg Fire Department remains busy Christmas week. This upcoming Saturday, December 20th, Santa will be escorted by the Mechanicsburg Volunteer Fire Department!   Santa's escort will begin at noontime and will continue throughout the afternoon.
