Today marks a historic day in Mechanicsburg Fire History! For the first time, Part-time firefighters staffed the station alongside volunteers. Pictured are two of our new employees with our Chief and Captain. These firefighters and a crew of volunteer firefighters spent their first day training and familiarizing themselves with our apparatus. 11-22-2025 2356hrs Company 29 was dispatched to the 23-01 box for a residential structure fire. Engine and Utility 29 made the response. Engine 29 arrived alongside mutual aid units with a light smoke condition from the residence. Engine 29 secured its own water supply and advanced an attack line to the front door. Interior crews found a small fire that was quickly extinguished. Mechanicsburg Volunteer Firefighters operated on scene for less than an hour.
