1st Due House Fire

08/03/2021- Units responded to 426B W. Simpson Street for a dispatched house fire. Chief 8 arrived on scene with a 2.5 story duplex with heavy smoke from the rear and confirming occupants trapped. First arriving Truck 29 took side A of the address, second arriving Squad 29 advanced a hand line into side A to began fire attack. While stretching the line the squad crew found an occupant on the stair way who was unconscious. The squad crew assisted by Co 13. removed the occupant and began resuscitation efforts which were successful. The occupant was transported to a local hospital by Life Lion EMS. After the rescue crews encountered fire on all 3 floors of the duplex rapidly advancing into the rest of the building. Crews from the borough as well as mutual aid worked for several hours preforming overhaul and finding hot spots. A huge thank you to our mutual aid partners for your hard work and efforts in working this fire.
