The Mechanicsburg Fire Department was dispatched to the 29-01 box for a residential structure fire. Engine 29, Truck 29, and Utility 29 made the response along with mutual aid companies. Chief 8 arrived first to confirm the dispatch, reporting fire from the roof and gable ends.
Engine 29 was the first arriving engine, securing their own water and placing multiple hoselines in service for fire attack and exposure protection. Truck 29 was the first arriving Truck and completed a primary search of the building. Mechanicsburg’s Volunteer Firefighters operated on scene for 4 1/2 hours.
