Engine 29 was dispatched mutual aid to the 31-04 box for a reported basement fire. Engine 29 arrived first, establishing an initial water supply and advancing a dry hand-line to the front door. No fire was found. Mechanicsburg’s volunteer firemen were on scene for less than an hour.
1802hrs
The Mechanicsburg Fire Dept. Was dispatched to the 29-01 box for a vehicle fire impinging on a structure. Engine 29 responded immediately after dispatch and arrived to find a fully involved vehicle 2 feet from a structure. Engine 29 laid a supply line, advanced a hose line, and quickly extinguished the fire before it extended into the structure. The Mechanicsburg Fire Dept. Operated on scene for 1 1/2 hours.
