The Mechanicsburg Fire Department, as part of our annual Hazardous Materials refresher, participated in a tour of our local Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Tours such as this allow firefighters to visit high risk locations in preparation for future potential incidents.

In yesterday’s instance, the tour allowed our hazmat instructor to speak directly about the hazardous materials and conditions found in a facility such as this.
